Lithuanian diplomatic service raises funds to deliver at least 28 generators to Ukraine
The Lithuanian Diplomatic Service announced the collection of EUR 14,000 for energy support for Ukraine in the face of Russian attacks on critical infrastructure, the Lithuanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated.
“Lithuania’s diplomatic service is sending light and warmth to Ukraine. We have raised almost EUR 14,000 to deliver at least 28 generator sets to Ukraine amid Russia’s attacks on energy infrastructure. Ukraine is not alone in its fight for freedom and Europe’s future,” the Lithuanian Foreign Ministry said on X.
This initiative is part of Lithuania’s broader support to Ukraine in the energy sector. Lithuania previously announced the transfer of over 90 generators worth over EUR 2 million, as well as the completion of a logistical operation to relocate an entire thermal power plant from Lithuania to Ukraine under the EU Civil Protection Mechanism.
