McDonald's Ukraine opens new restaurant on Kyiv's Left Bank
Foreign enterprise McDonald’s Ukraine Ltd., which operates the McDonald’s fast-food restaurant chain in Ukraine, opened a new restaurant in Kyiv on Thursday (1-H P. Hryhorenko Avenue). It became the company’s 122nd restaurant in Ukraine, the press service reported.
The new McDonald’s, with a total area of 497 square meters, has 121 seats inside and 128 seats on the terrace. It is located near the Darnytsia Bridge in a densely populated district of the capital with heavy traffic, close to a hypermarket and educational institutions. An underground parking facility nearby will also serve as a shelter during air raid alerts, including for employees and visitors.
Customers can place orders using 10 self-service kiosks from 6:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m., or via the McDrive from 5:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. The McDelivery service will start operating a few days after the opening, from 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. Customers will also be able to place orders through the mobile app using the new Mobile Order function.
The new location has created more than 70 jobs, including for young people aged 16 and older.
Like all McDonald’s restaurants in Ukraine, the new establishment operates under enhanced safety rules. During an air raid alert, the restaurant temporarily suspends operations so that employees and customers can move to the nearest shelter and resumes service within an hour after the alert ends.
The first McDonald’s restaurant in Ukraine opened on May 24, 1997, in Kyiv. Currently, 122 restaurants operate in the country, while another 15 remain closed due to security requirements.
According to the YouControl analytical system, McDonald’s in Ukraine generated UAH 15.6 billion in revenue in the first nine months of 2025, which is 26.2% higher than in the same period a year earlier. Net profit increased by 9.7% to UAH 1.4 billion.
MCD Europe Limited (100%, London, United Kingdom) is listed as the owner of McDonald’s Ukraine Ltd.
