No increase in state support for IDPs planned for 2025 – PM
Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal has announced that there are no plans to increase state support for internally displaced persons (IDPs) in 2025.
"For 2025, the Ministry of Finance has not yet planned any increase in state support for IDPs, but the current level of assistance is sufficient," Shmyhal said during the government Q&A session in the Verkhovna Rada on Friday.
He noted that as of September 1, 1.2 million IDPs were receiving state assistance.
The Prime Minister also announced the preparation of a pilot project to provide housing subsidies for IDPs in nine frontline regions, to cover the cost or part of the cost of renting accommodation.
