Four enemy missiles, 37 drones eliminated in eight regions of Ukraine – Air Force
The defense forces eliminated four enemy missiles and 37 drones in eight regions that Russian troops attacked on the territory of Ukraine, according to the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
"As of 10:00 a.m., the downing of two X-101 cruise missiles, two Iskander-M/KN-23 ballistic missiles and 37 enemy UAVs in Kyiv, Poltava, Zhytomyr, Sumy, Cherkasy, Zaporizhia, Chernihiv and Kirovohrad regions was confirmed," the message says.
Meanwhile, 47 enemy location drones were lost in different regions of Ukraine, two UAVs left the airspace of Ukraine in the direction of Belarus and Russia.
"Two more drones are in the air, combat work continues!" the command stressed.
The Air force reports that on Wednesday night from 3 p.m. on Tuesday, the enemy struck Ukraine with missiles of various types, guided bombs and attack drones.
In particular, the radio engineering troops of the Air Force discovered 96 means of air attack (excluding UAB). Namely, two S-300 anti-aircraft guided missiles from Kursk region of the Russian Federation on Sumy region, two X–101 cruise missiles from Tu-95MS strategic bombers, the launch area is the Caspian Sea, two Iskander-M/KN-23 ballistic missiles - the launch area is Voronezh region, as well as 90 attack UAVs of the Shahed type and drones of an unidentified type from the districts of Kursk, Primorsko-Akhtarsk, Oryol.
The air attack was repelled by anti-aircraft missile forces, aviation, electronic warfare units, mobile fire groups of the Air Force and the Defense Forces of Ukraine, the command added.
