PM: Those who apply for eSupport abroad to have to return it later
Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal says that the authorities will later conduct an audit of the assistance provided under the winter "eSupport" and those who applied for it abroad will return it.
"There may be a minimal number of people who will abuse this [apply for assistance from abroad]. But we will audit these things after that, and such people, as has happened in previous cases, will return the funds. Therefore, we recommend not to abuse these things," Shmyhal said on the air of the national telethon on Monday.
The prime minister said the program is valid only for citizens who are in Ukraine.
He said initially people declaratively indicate that they are on the territory of the country, and then they are checked against registers, geolocation and other software methods.
