Zaluzhny discusses problems in Ukraine's energy sector with British Foreign Secretary
Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to the United Kingdom Valeriy Zaluzhny has met with the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs of the country Yvette Cooper to discuss the situation in the energy sector of Ukraine, the security situation, the negotiation track, as well as further coordination with international allies to strengthen the country’s defense capabilities.
"Had a meeting with the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs of the United Kingdom Yvette Cooper. We once again confirmed the strategic nature of relations and the constant development of interaction between our countries. The conversation took place against the backdrop of constant Russian shelling of Ukraine’s energy infrastructure… The support of our partners remains vital for Ukraine’s energy sector in this extremely difficult winter. We also talked about the security situation, the prospects for a just peace between Ukraine and the Russian Federation, as well as further coordination with international allies to strengthen Ukraine’s defense capabilities," he wrote on his Facebook page.
Zaluzhny thanked the United Kingdom for its leadership position in supporting Ukraine.
