Electricity situation in Kharkiv, Sumy, Dnipropetrovsk regions remains difficult – Ukrenergo
Over the past day, the enemy attacked energy facilities in several regions, as a result of which consumers in Kharkiv, Sumy and Dnipropetrovsk regions were without electricity on Monday morning, National Power Company (NPC) Ukrenergo has said.
According to its message on Telegram, emergency restoration work is already being carried out wherever the security situation allows. Also, restoration of facilities is continuing around the clock after two consecutive massive attacks on the energy system.
At the same time, the First Deputy Minister of Energy of Ukraine Artem Nekrasov, during a daily briefing at the Ministry of Energy on the operational situation in the energy system, reported that the situation remains most difficult in the border and front-line regions of the country, where restoration is complicated by constant shelling.
At the same time, he emphasized that the elimination of the consequences of two massive enemy attacks on the country’s energy system over the past week is ongoing.
"Restoration is ongoing at both power plants and high-voltage substations that provide power output to nuclear power plants. Currently, nuclear generation is still partially unloaded," Nekrasov noted.
