SBU drones hit Velikolukskaya oil depot in Pskov region – SBU source
On Thursday night, drones from the State Security Service of Ukraine’s (SBU) "Alpha" Special Operations Center successfully struck the Velikolukskaya oil depot in the Pskov region, nearly 500 km from the Ukrainian state border, a source in the SBU told Interfax-Ukraine.
According to the agency’s interlocutor, the Velikolukskaya oil depot belongs to the company Pskovnefteprodukt LLC. "Diesel fuel, gasoline, and other petroleum products are stored there," he specified.
the SBU source noted: "Local Telegram channels write that at least four explosions were recorded at the oil depot, after which a large-scale fire broke out. Employees of neighboring enterprises evacuated en masse."
The agency’s interlocutor added that anti-drone nets were stretched over the fuel tanks, but they did not stop the SBU drones.
"The SBU continues to methodically work on facilities that provide the Russian army with fuel. The destruction of oil depots directly affects the enemy’s ability to wage combat operations, advance, and transfer reserves. Such operations are an element of the systematic weakening of the Russia’s military potential," the SBU source concluded.
