MP Sirko on talks in Geneva: No political, diplomatic progress
There is no political and diplomatic progress in the talks to achieve peace, Deputy Head of Holos faction Yulia Sirko has said.
"There is no political or diplomatic progress and there cannot be, because Putin can no longer stop the war due to his internal problems," Sirko told Interfax-Ukraine, commenting on the latest round of talks between Ukraine, the U.S. and Russia in Geneva (Switzerland).
According to the MP, any stoppage of the war without Ukraine's surrender means for Putin "that the Kremlin elite and himself will be hung on the red Kremlin wall, so he is simply stalling for time, trying to buy off the Americans in order to lift sanctions and somehow escape the Chinese noose." At the same time, according to Sirko, there is technical progress in the negotiations at the military level.
