President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy has stated that there is an opportunity to end the war with dignity in the near future and emphasized the importance of a meeting at the leadership level to overcome disagreements that remain unsolvable at the level of negotiating teams.

"We believe that real opportunities to end the war with dignity remain, and the world’s ability to pressure Russia so that a reliable peace replaces war can significantly help. We expect that in the near future, in February, it will be possible to organize another round of negotiations and that this round can be truly effective," Zelenskyy wrote on Telegram on Thursday.

He also reported on efforts toward "the readiness of leaders to meet and resolve what is not yet being resolved at the team level."

"It is the leadership format that can become decisive in many ways, and Ukraine is ready for such a format," Zelenskyy emphasized.
