Ukraine shoots down 105 out of 126 enemy UAVs, hit by ballistic missile and 20 UAVs recorded at 11 locations
On the night of Monday, Ukraine’s Defense Forces neutralized 105 out of 126 enemy UAVs; hits by a ballistic missile and 20 UAVs were recorded at 11 locations, the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has said.
"According to preliminary data as of 08:00, air defense shot down or suppressed 105 enemy UAVs of the Shahed, Gerbera, Italmas types, and drones of other types in the north, south, and east of the country," the report says.
In total, on the night of February 23 (from 18:00 on February 22), the adversary attacked with one Iskander-M ballistic missile from the Rostov region – Russia, as well as 126 strike UAVs of the Shahed, Gerbera, Italmas types, and drones of other types from the directions of Bryansk, Kursk, Orel, Primorsko-Akhtarsk – Russia, and Chauda, Hvardiiske – temporarily occupied Crimea; about 80 of them were "Shaheds."
The air attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare units, unmanned systems units, and mobile fire groups of the Defense Forces of Ukraine.
Meanwhile, hits by a ballistic missile and 20 strike UAVs were recorded at 11 locations, as well as the fall of shot-down debris at one location.
The attack continues, with several enemy UAVs still in the airspace, the Air Force said.
