Enemy recon drones and aviation intensifies in southern Ukraine as weather improves – Voloshyn
Spokesperson for the Southern Defense Forces Vladyslav Voloshyn reported a significant intensification of Russia aviation, including unmanned aircraft, recently, which he attributes to improving weather conditions.
"Over the past day, more than 350 reconnaissance drones were recorded over the south. In recent days, we recorded up to a hundred, which indicates an increase in the number of reconnaissance UAVs. The number of kamikaze drone strikes has also risen. Currently, there are almost 1,700 drone strikes in the south, although for the entire last week, it was also around 1,000-1,200. We link this to the fact that the weather has improved slightly," Voloshyn said in a comment to the Interfax-Ukraine agency on Monday.
According to him, the number of traditional aviation strikes is also growing every day. "Over the past day, 17 airstrikes were recorded using 70 guided aerial bombs and 65 unguided aerial rockets. Both Russia bomber and ground-attack aviation, as well as army aviation, are operating. That is, this enemy activity has increased," Voloshyn added.
