Seven police officers injured in explosion in Mykolaiv - police
Seven patrol police officers were injured in an explosion at a defunct gas station in Mykolaiv, according to Ivan Vyhovsky, head of the National Police of Ukraine.
"Today at 6:10 p.m. in Mykolaiv, an explosion occurred at a defunct gas station. Seven patrol police officers who had arrived for their shift and parked their cars there were injured. Two of them are in serious condition. Doctors are fighting for their lives," he wrote on his Facebook page.
He recalled that a terrorist attack against police officers occurred in Lviv on Saturday.
"This is no coincidence. The enemy is deliberately trying to kill Ukrainian police officers, who protect the people and the state every day. We view these events as a targeted attack on the law enforcement system and a destabilization of the situation within the country," Vyhovsky added.
