Denmark doing everything possible to attract more funding this year for Danish model - defense minister in Kyiv
Danish Defense Minister Troel Lund Poulsen, who is visiting Kyiv, hopes to secure more funding for the "Danish model" this year.
He stated this at a joint briefing with his Ukrainian counterpart, Mykhailo Fedorov, and the head of the "Come Back Alive" foundation, Taras Chmut, on Tuesday.
"From our discussions today, I’d like to highlight three points. First of all, we’re doing everything we can to hopefully secure more funding for the Danish model this year," Poulsen said.
He recalled that the "Danish model" was created in Kyiv two years ago together with the now former Minister of Defense, Rustem Umerov.
"I’m honored to see how well it was organized and how quickly this model delivered critical capabilities for you: artillery, drones, missiles. And we want to do more this year. I think one of the fastest ways to provide more to soldiers here in Ukraine is the Danish model," the head of the Danish Ministry of Defense stated.
According to him, Ukraine and Denmark agreed to do "everything possible to finance even more using the ‘Danish model’."
