Metsola signs agreement to provide Ukraine with EUR 90 bln loan

European Parliament President Roberta Metsola signed a EUR 90 billion loan agreement for Ukraine on behalf of the European Parliament. Metsola wrote this on the social media site X on Tuesday.

As Metsola noted, the loan is provided to support the functioning of essential public services, maintain Ukraine’s strong defense, protect the common security and freedom of Ukraine and Europe, achieve real and lasting peace, and secure Ukraine’s future in Europe.
