Russia once again attacks energy sector of frontline, border regions – Ukrenergo

1 min read

As a result of the Russian Federation’s attacks on the energy infrastructure of frontline and border regions, there are new power outages in Donetsk, Dnipropetrovsk, Sumy and Chernihiv regions this morning, NPC Ukrenergo reported.

"Where security conditions allow, emergency restoration work is already underway. Power engineers are doing everything possible to restore power to all affected consumers as quickly as possible," the company said on its Telegram channel Tuesday.

At the same time, Ukrenergo said electricity consumption continues an upward trend, and this morning its level was 1.1% higher than Monday morning. The company said the increase is due to fewer restrictions applied in most regions of Ukraine.

It stressed that the need for energy conservation remains in regions where hourly outages are in effect.

Ukrenergo said no outage schedules were applied overnight Tuesday. They began at 8 a.m. in some regions and are scheduled through the end of the day.
