Russian drone damages URCS vehicle
A Ukrainian Red Cross Society (URCS) vehicle was damaged as a result of a Russian drone strike in the Donetsk region.
"On March 6, in the city of Mykolaivka, located in the government-controlled territory of the Donetsk region, a Ukrainian Red Cross vehicle was hit," the URCS reported on Facebook on over the weekend.
As a result of the Russian drone strike on the car's hood, a fire broke out, which was promptly extinguished by arriving State Emergency Service units. None of the URCS staff or volunteers were injured. At the time of the drone attack, they were assisting with the evacuation of the civilian population in another vehicle.
"We categorically condemn attacks on civilian infrastructure and transport clearly marked with the Red Cross emblem. Such actions are a violation of the norms of international humanitarian law," the URCS emphasized.
