NACP verifies declaration of former minister of justice and energy Halushchenko

National Agency on Corruption Prevention (NACP) has begun verification of declaration of former Minister of Justice and Energy Herman Halushchenko, head of parliamentary committee on anti-corruption policy Anastasiya Radina (Servant of the People faction) has said.

NACP started full verification of Herman Halushchenko’s declaration yesterday, March 16. This is response of NACP to my request, Radina wrote on Facebook on Tuesday.

As reported, Verkhovna Rada dismissed Halushchenko from post of Minister of Justice on November 19, 2025. High Anti-Corruption Court (HACC) on February 17 chose preventive measure for Halushchenko in form of detention with alternative of bail in amount of UAH 200 million.

Halushchenko was detained while attempting to leave Ukraine within "Midas" case on February 15. He was served with notice of suspicion in "Midas" case: charged with money laundering and participation in a criminal organization. According to anti-corruption authorities, criminal organization received over $112 million through former minister’s proxy.

Halushchenko held positions of Minister of Energy (April 29, 2021 — July 17, 2025) and Minister of Justice (July 17, 2025 — November 19, 2025).
