Ukrainians get online notary access at all diplomatic missions worldwide

An automated procedure for submitting documents for notarial acts has been introduced in all embassies and consulates of Ukraine abroad, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiha has said.
"Since July 1, the phased implementation of this system has been ongoing, and now Ukrainians abroad can submit information and documents in electronic form through the applicant's electronic account of the MFA's information and communication system e-Consul in all 120 foreign diplomatic institutions that provide consular services," the message on the MFA's Telegram channel said on Wednesday.
From now on, citizens can, at a convenient time for themselves: submit an online application for notarial acts, download a sample of the necessary power of attorney or notarial statement, and upload all necessary documents.
"Now, all procedures for submitting and processing documents can be carried out without a prior physical visit to the diplomatic institution. After online submission, only a short visit remains to receive the finished document, which significantly saves citizens' time and resources," the message said.
Sybiha said that since the connection of the first two phases of diplomatic missions in July and August, almost 500 Ukrainians have already used the service. Detailed information and answers to frequently asked questions will be available on the resources of diplomatic missions and the Department of Consular Service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine.
Sybiha expressed gratitude to the entire team that implemented the project, as well as international partners, in particular the United Nations Development Program in Ukraine and the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine for their assistance in implementing this initiative.
