Nova Poshta to enter Austrian and Dutch markets by end of 2024
NOVA group of companies, Ukraine’s largest logistics operator, plans to bring Nova Post to the Austrian and Dutch markets by the end of 2024, the company’s press service reported on Wednesday.
“In the first half of 2024 alone, we opened branches in four new countries: Italy, Great Britain, Spain and France. By the end of the year, there will also be Austria and the Netherlands,” Nova Poshta said on Telegram.
According to it, the group continues to expand its presence in EU countries, integrating with local partners to develop targeted delivery and cover the entire country through parcel terminals and service points.
“In addition, we launched delivery between EU countries,” the company notes.
It is specified that 12,300 parcels were delivered between EU countries in 3.5 months. The largest number was sent from Poland – 4,800, including 2,200 delivered to Germany, while Germany became the second in terms of shipments to the EU – 1,600, of which 1,100 were to Poland.
The third most popular direction is Romania-Moldova, the press release states.
As reported, on November 11, 2023, co-owner of Nova Poshta Volodymyr Popereshniuk shared on his Facebook page a plan for opening new countries in 2024, which envisaged the launch of branches in the capitals of 17 countries in January-September. In an interview with Forbes Ukraine the other day, Popereshniuk said that by mid-August 2024, the plan was fulfilled by 22%, but overall, by the end of the year, the group will develop six new markets.
Today, Nova Post has 104 of its own branches in Europe and more than 68,700 partner service points.
As reported, in Ukraine, Nova Poshta LLC increased its unconsolidated net income in the first half of 2024 by 20.1% - to UAH 20.12 billion, and the company's net profit decreased by 38.1% - to UAH 1.49 billion.
