Kyivteploenergo reports on preparations for winter

Kyivteploenergo municipal enterprise (KTE) has prepared the equipment of heating networks and heat sources for the 2024-2025 heating season.

"Kyivteploenergo power engineers checked all heating networks, replaced the most worn-out sections, repaired and serviced the equipment of heat sources, prepared house meters for winter, and restored damaged equipment," the company reported on its website on Wednesday.

Currently, KTE has managed to restore about 1,500 units of power equipment damaged by missile attacks.

"Every day, power engineers work to return more lost energy capacity and introduce innovative solutions to diversify electricity and heat supplies for the city," the company noted.

As part of preparations for winter, KTE specialists tested 2,700 km of heating networks for hydraulic strength and tightness and eliminated 2,100 damages, replaced 55 km of problematic pipes, prepared about 160 boiler houses and heating stations for switching on, which together produce up to 50% of the heat for Kyiv, and performed diagnostics and repairs of 580 boilers.

In addition, the capital's power engineers prepared 3,000 heating points on the balance sheet of the enterprise for the heating season and repaired the equipment of 18 pumping stations.

In addition, specialists verified more than 2,300 and repaired about 1,000 house meters, installed more than 170 new devices.

"All boiler houses, where there is a technical possibility, are equipped with generators. The number of mobile boiler houses has increased to 51. In case of emergency, they will provide heat to facilities critical to the city's life," KTE reported.

Some 38 emergency teams are ready to work during the heating season, working around the clock. In total, the company has prepared 345 units of special equipment and transport to service the capital's heating infrastructure.
