IDS Ukraine, one of the largest bottled water and beverage producers in Ukraine, increased its net revenue by 25% last year, while its EBITDA surpassed UAH 1.35 billion, according to a company press release.
According to figures published on the company's website, EBITDA grew by 53% compared to 2023, reaching UAH 1.35 billion. Net profit increased to UAH 708 million, doubling the previous year's figure, while annual revenue rose to UAH 6.87 billion – 25.4% higher than in 2023.
IDS Ukraine clarified that the revenue increase was driven by improved performance across key business segments. In the PET segment (bottled water in plastic packaging), net revenue for the year reached UAH 5.96 billion, exceeding the 2023 figure by over 26%. In the HOD segment (home and office delivery), net revenue grew by 21% to UAH 910 million, compared to UAH 752 million the previous year.
"The economic growth throughout 2024 enabled IDS Ukraine to reach record tax contributions across all levels, amounting to UAH 1.15 billion. Since the beginning of the full-scale Russian invasion, IDS Ukraine's tax contributions have totaled UAH 2.6 billion," the company stated.
It was also noted that the Morshyn Mineral Water Plant Oscar paid UAH 370.4 million in taxes last year – 65% more than in 2023 and more than double the 2021 figure. The Myrhorod Mineral Water Plant contributed UAH 164.6 million in 2024, an 84% increase from the previous year and more than double its 2021 level.
Sustained operations and the launch of new products allowed the company to expand employment, increasing its workforce by 9% last year.
IDS Ukraine's financial and business review for 2024 highlighted the company's ongoing commitment to employee welfare, including two salary increases during the year.
Additionally, the company significantly expanded its capital investment program, reaching UAH 196 million – a 63% increase from the previous year. This included upgrading its refrigeration equipment and implementing a new ERP system based on Microsoft Dynamics 365. Furthermore, IDS Ukraine initiated design work for alternative energy systems (solar power plants) at its facilities, with a total capacity of 1.4 MW.
The company also reiterated that since the onset of the full-scale invasion, none of its shareholders have received any income, including dividends, due to government regulations prohibiting such payments. Financial reports confirm that hundreds of millions of hryvnias in unrestricted funds have accumulated in IDS Ukraine's accounts.
Founded in 1996, IDS Ukraine is the country's largest national producer of bottled water. The holding includes the Morshyn Mineral Water Plant Oscar, the Myrhorod Mineral Water Plant, the distribution company IDS, and the water delivery operator IDS Aqua Service.
The group owns the brands Morshynska, Myrhorodska, Alaska, and Aqua Life.
As previously reported, Cyprus-based International Distribution Systems Limited, the parent company of IDS Ukraine, fell under Ukrainian sanctions in November 2023. The sanctions include asset freezes, restrictions on capital outflows, and prohibitions on increasing the charter capital of Ukrainian companies linked to Russian oligarch Mikhail Fridman and other Alfa Group co-owners.
The nationalization process of IDS Ukraine is currently underway.
