Ukrenergo invests UAH 65 mln in education programs during wartime

The National Power Company Ukrenergo has invested over UAH 65 million in educational initiatives between 2022 and 2025, the transmission system operator said Monday on Telegram.

"Our company actively collaborates with numerous higher and pre-higher education institutions, including the Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute, Dnipro and Lviv Polytechnics, Vinnytsia National Technical University, and the A. Beketov Kharkiv National University of Urban Economy," the company said.

Together with these and other universities, Ukrenergo has been enhancing training programs for energy-sector specialists in various disciplines, offering university faculty the opportunity to gain practical experience at company facilities and in its training center.

The company also runs the Energy HUB internship and employment program for senior students and graduates.

"About 60% of participants in this program ultimately stay on as full-time employees. Such initiatives help students launch their careers immediately after graduation, while enabling our company to effectively build a skilled talent pool," Ukrenergo said.

Ukrenergo ranks among the largest corporate investors in Ukrainian education. The Top-51 list of companies investing most in education was compiled by Delo.ua and the Kyiv School of Economics.

The study assessed both investment volume and the nature of educational initiatives undertaken by Ukrainian companies from 2022 to 2025. Organizers said this period was chosen because investing in education during a full-scale war reflects confidence in the future – both for a company's own business and for Ukraine as a whole.
