Ukrainian banks opened 14, closed 46 branches in Q2, Accordbank leads openings, Pivdenny leads closures
The number of bank branches in Ukraine shrank by 32 in Q2 2025, leaving 4,934 outlets nationwide as of early July, according to the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU).
Since the start of 2025, the network has contracted by 48 branches; year-on-year, the reduction totals 113.
Crystalbank cut the most in Q2, shutting six locations and reducing its network to 40. Both Crystalbank and Oschadbank closed five branches each. While Crystalbank is now down to just 35, Oschadbank remains the national leader with 1,147 outlets.
Ukreximbank, Raiffeisen Bank, and FUIB each closed four branches, leaving them with 39, 321, and 219 outlets, respectively. PrivatBank and TAScombank each lost three branches, bringing their totals to 1,102 and 91.
On the expansion side, Accordbank again led, opening nine new branches and boosting its footprint to 162. Asvio Bank added two, reaching 51, while Grant Bank, Bizbank, and RVS Bank each opened one.
As of July 2025, the largest branch networks were held by state-owned Oschadbank (1,147) and PrivatBank (1,102), followed by Raiffeisen Bank (321), FUIB (219), and UkrSibbank (218).
The next tier included Ukrgasbank (211), A-Bank (198), Accordbank (162), state-owned Sense Bank (137), and Credit Agricole Bank (125), with TAScombank (91) leading the second ten.
Overall, Ukraine's eight state-controlled banks operated 2,655 branches, representing 53.8% of the country's total branch network as of mid-2025.
