Rada supports creation of backup copies of public information resources
At a plenary session on Tuesday, the Verkhovna Rada supported bill No. 7152 on the introduction of amendments to certain laws of Ukraine regarding the functioning of information and communication systems, public electronic registers.
A total of 345 MPs backed the document with the necessary 226 votes.
According to an explanatory note to the document, this law, in particular, allows creating backup copies of public information resources in compliance with the requirements established for such resources regarding their protection, integrity, confidentiality, as well as placing them outside of Ukraine.
In addition, the document provides an opportunity to place information and communication systems, electronic communication systems, public electronic registers outside Ukraine.
Earlier, similar resolution (No. 263) was adopted by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.
