First 3D-printed house in Ukraine built in city of Irpin
Ukrainian startup 3D UTU has built the first 3D-printed house in Ukraine in the city of Irpin, Kyiv region. The house was handed over to the family of fallen soldier Yaroslav Berezov, whose home was destroyed during the city's occupation by Russian forces, announced Ukraine's Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov.
"A new home for the defender's family was built using a 3D printer from the Ukrainian startup 3D UTU. The 130 m² house was built in just 58 machine hours, which is about two days of printer work. Yesterday, the wife and children received the keys to the house for free," the minister said on his Telegram channel.
Fedorov said that such construction is not only fast and economical, but this technology also allows for the creation of energy-efficient and more environmentally friendly homes.
He thanked the entrepreneurs, technologists, and engineers who are "making efforts to rebuild the country right now."
