Yermak, National Security Advisor to US Vice President discuss situation at front, in energy sector
Head of the President's Office of Ukraine Andriy Yermak had a phone conversation with Assistant to the President of the United States, National Security Advisor to the Vice President of the United States Phil Gordon, the presidential press service said.
"The head of the Presidential Office spoke about the situation at the front and the increase in the number of Russian attacks on Ukrainian cities and communities, in particular on energy infrastructure. He noted the importance of strengthening Ukrainian air defense with modern Western systems," the Presidential Office said in a statement on its website on Tuesday.
Yermak and Gordon discussed further U.S. support for Ukraine, the results of the first Peace Summit and the implementation of the points of the Peace Formula.
It is noted that the head of the President's Office thanked the President of the United States of America Joseph Biden, both houses and parties of Congress and the entire American people for helping Ukraine in the fight against Russian aggression, as well as for the defense package that is already working on the battlefield.
Earlier it was reported that U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris announced her intention to participate in the presidential election, and U.S. President Biden supported her.
The Democratic National Committee has announced that it plans to nominate a presidential candidate by August 7.
The U.S. presidential election is scheduled for November 5, 2024.
