Zelenskyy instructs govt to finance creation of modern rehabilitation hospital for military released from captivity
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy instructed the Cabinet of Ministers to provide funding for the creation of a modern rehabilitation hospital with a module for the reintegration of military personnel released from Russian captivity and stabilization points for the uninterrupted provision of medical care in the combat zone.
"I instructed the government to fully ensure funding for the creation of a modern rehabilitation hospital with a module for the reintegration of military personnel released from captivity, and stabilization points for the uninterrupted provision of medical care in the combat zone," Zelenskyy said at the first annual international congress on military medicine and mental health "Warrior: life, health, combat readiness." He emphasized that "an effective rehabilitation system must be introduced, which includes mental rehabilitation of servicemen together with their families."
"Protection in the state is certainly a two-way street, and those who protect the state must know and feel that the state protects them. This is the difference between us and the enemy. Russia is not fighting for the survival of its people. On the contrary, Ukraine must do everything to save lives," the president said.
The head of state also noted that "when we quite correctly talk about the need for weapons, we must not forget that the support and protection of our soldiers is also a weapon."
"Their strength, their knowledge, their skills are an important value for our country. With all understanding, we must create an appropriate rehabilitation system with the highest level of preparation of necessary gadgets and recovery centers. This is our task, this is our goal, this is our path," he summarized.
