Zelenskyy instruct Defense Ministry, General Staff to develop clear medical info system in military units for wounded by year end

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy instructed the Ministry of Defense and the General Staff to develop a clear and transparent medical information system in military units for the wounded by the end of this year.

“The Ministry of Defense, together with the General Staff, must by the end of the year develop a medical information system in military units so that the route of the wounded is transparent and understandable,” Zelenskyy said at the first annual international congress on military medicine and mental health “Warrior: life, health, combat readiness”.

According to him, this is what every serviceman and every military medic expects.

The head of state also said that military medicine in Ukraine still faces many challenges. In particular, according to Zelenskyy, the priority task is to create a medical system that would meet today's challenges.

"This is the creation of a single medical space, where each specialist knows and fulfills his role. In particular, this is about the efficient use of resources, the supply of first aid kits and tourniquets of the appropriate quality, the provision of mobile hospitals and being more attentive to the wounded and those who have returned from the Russian hell," he said.
