Zelenskyy visits Derhachi in Kharkiv region, observes progress of infrastructure restoration

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy visited Derhachi during his visit to Kharkiv region, where he got acquainted with the progress of restoration of the infrastructure destroyed by the invaders.

"Kharkiv region. The city of Derhachi. Last year, 18 houses with 250 apartments were restored here and people were provided with shelters that did not exist before. Work is currently underway to restore the local outpatient clinic," Zelenskyy wrote on his Telegram channel.

The head of state thanked everyone involved in the restoration work and the return of normal life for people. "I thank [also] our people who protect and defend their city, their community and believe in Ukraine," the president emphasized.

According to the presidential press service, Head of Kharkiv Regional Military Administration Oleh Synehubov informed the head of state on the restoration of the local outpatient clinic, which is expected to be completed this October.

In particular, he presented a project on the construction of underground blocks in the regional hospital, where it is planned to set up operating rooms. According to him, a total of 70 projects on housing and hospital reconstruction are currently being implemented in Kharkiv region. They are part of the Regional Program for Restoration, Development and Maintenance of Life Support Systems in Kharkiv Region for the Period of Martial Law in Ukraine. These projects are financed by the Fund for Elimination of the Consequences of Armed Aggression.

During the conversation with the president, people thanked him for the assistance in the restoration of their homes and expressed hope for the implementation of projects that would help Ukrainians return home.
