URCS holds more than a hundred info sessions on mine danger in Sumy region in July
Instructors of the Ukrainian Red Cross Society (URCS) conducted more than a hundred information sessions on mine danger for residents of Sumy region in July.
"In July, instructors of Sumy regional organization of the Ukrainian Red Cross held 102 information sessions on mine danger for residents of the region. Most of them are children," the URCS reported on Facebook.
The Ukrainian Red Cross Society stressed that they pay special attention to mine hazard classes with children and teach them the rules of behavior when detecting suspicious objects.
During information sessions, instructors of the Ukrainian Red Cross explain to children the rules of safe behavior, talk about the risks and teach them how to act to protect themselves from accidents. In just one week, 470 children of the region got acquainted with the rules of safe behavior in case of detection of suspicious objects.
The URCS recalled that Sumy region is one of the most mined regions of Ukraine.
