Zelenskyy: We need sufficiently courageous decisions from our partners, and Ukrainians will do everything correctly and precisely
Ukrainians can fully protect their skies if there is sufficient provision for this, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy reacted to the night attack by Russian UAVs.
“Eighty-nine Shahed drones were shot down last night, all of those used by Russian terrorists during this attack. And this is an important result. Ukrainians can fully protect their skies from Russian strikes when they have sufficient supplies,” Zelenskyy said on the Telegram channel Wednesday.
The President added that the same effectiveness of protection is necessary against enemy missiles and combat aircraft, and this can be ensured.
“We need sufficiently courageous decisions from our partners—enough air defense systems, enough range. And Ukrainians will do everything correctly and precisely,” Zelenskyy stressed.
As reported, on the night of July 31, the Ukrainian Defense Forces shot down 89 Shahed-131/136 UAVs out of 89 used by the Russian occupiers to strike the territory of the country.
