Second recruiting center of Ukrainian army opened in Lviv

The second recruiting center of the Ukrainian army has been opened in Lviv today, the press service of the Lviv City Council reports.

The center is located in Sykhovsky district of the city, in a building on 72a Chervona Kalyna Avenue, and those who want to join the army can get all the necessary information about the recruiting process, about vacancies in specific military units.

"This is the second such center in Lviv and the 31st in Ukraine, the network is actively growing. This center was opened in the largest district of Lviv in terms of population, so that it would be as convenient as possible for people to get all the necessary information," Oleksiy Bezhevets, the commissioner of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine for recruiting, was quoted in the message as saying.

According to him, in six months of operation, the first recruiting center in Lviv has shown good results and accumulated the experience necessary for effective work.

Bezhevets noted that currently there are more than 10,000 vacancies in the database of recruiting centers throughout the country.

"There is a huge need for doctors, psychologists, locksmiths, electricians, mechanics – there is a whole mosaic of vacancies and everyone can find themselves," Bezhevets is quoted as saying in the message.

In turn, the first deputy mayor of Lviv, Andriy Moskalenko, said that during the work of the country's first recruiting center, more than 2,000 people have applied for consultations.

"Today, more than 100 people are already serving, and more than 500 more are at various stages of paperwork for further service. In general, more than 2,000 people have applied to the center and we see that the recruiting model is working successfully," the press service quoted Moskalenko as saying.

As reported, the first Ukrainian army recruiting center in Ukraine was opened in Lviv in February this year through the joint efforts of the Ministry of Defense and the Lviv City Council.
