General Staff reports ongoing hostilities in five areas in Pokrovsk axis

As of 4 p.m. on Thursday, the number of combat clashes along the front line increased to 56, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) has said, adding that the most active fighting is in the Lyman and Pokrovsk axes where the Ukrainian defenders are taking all necessary measures to prevent a breakthrough of the defense.

In the Kharkiv axis, four clashes occurred in the vicinity Vovchansk, two of which are ongoing.

In the Kupyansk axis, the enemy made an unsuccessful assault attempt on the Ukrainian positions near Synkivka.

In the Lyman axis, the enemy assaults were recorded in the areas of Makiyivka, Nevske, Terny and the Serebriansky Forest. A total of 15 combat clashes have already been recorded in this area since the beginning of the day, four of them are ongoing.

In the Siversky axis, the occupiers tried to push back Ukrainian units near Verkhniokamyanske, Ivano-Daryivka, Spirne, and Vyimka eight times.

In the Kramatorsk axis, the enemy made six attempts to push Ukrainian units from their positions. Ukrainian defenders have repelled four assaults near Chasiv Yar, Kalynivka and Ivanivske, while two more assaults are ongoing.

In the Torets axis, the enemy, covered by attack and bomber aircraft, assaulted the positions of Ukrainian troops seven times. Currently, two combat clashes are ongoing near New York.

In the Pokrovsk axis, fierce battles are taking place in the areas of Kalynove, Vozdvyzhenka, Novooleksandrivka, Zhelanne and Karlivka. The enemy attempted to storm Ukrainian positions ten times. Fighting continues in five locations.

In the Kurakhove axis, the enemy made one assault attempt in the vicinity of Krasnohorivka.

In the Vremiv axis, the defense forces repelled two enemy assaults in the areas of Vodiane and Vuhledar, another battle is ongoing.

In the Orikhiv axis, the occupiers attempted to advance once in the area of Mala Tokmachka.
