General Staff reports 59 combat clashes along frontline since midnight
The Russian invaders continue to storm the Ukrainian defense positions, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) has said, reporting 59 combat clashes along the frontline since the beginning of the day.
"The border settlements in Sumy and Chernihiv regions continue to undergo cynical shelling from the territory of the Russian Federation. The areas of Basivka, Bleshnia, Hai, Orikhivka, Prohres, Bachevsk, Seredyna Buda, Popivka, and Karpovychi came under enemy artillery and mortar fire. In addition, the Russians launched seven airstrikes against Zarutske, Bilovody, and Yunakivka," it said on Facebook.
In the Khariv axis, the adversary carried out an assault on Vovchansk, where one battle is still ongoing.
In the Kupyansk axis, there is one ongoing fighting in the vicinity of Tabayivka.
In the Lyman axis, seven enemy assaults on the Ukrainian defense positions were recorded in the vicinity of Makiyivka, Nevske, and the Serebriansky Forest. One of the battles continues.
In the Siversky axis, nine combat clashes were recorded during the day. The occupation army conducted offensive operations towards Bilohorivka, Verkhniokamyanske, Spirne, and Vyimka. The defense forces stopped eight enemy attacks, and continue repelling one attack near Verkhniokamyanske.
In the Kramatorsk axis, the adversary carried out five assaults in the vicinity of Chasiv Yar and Stupochky. Four combat clashes are over and one is ongoing.
In the Toretsk axis, the occupiers increased the number of attacks to twelve towards Bila Hora, Dyliyivka, New York, and Toretsk. Ten enemy attacks were repelled and another two are ongoing.
The invaders also inflicted eight airstrikes by 16 guided air bombs on Kostiantynivka and Toretsk.
In the Pokrovsk axis, the Russian occupation forces stormed the areas of Vozdvyzhenka, Novooleksandrivka, Zhelanne, Zelene Pole, and Yasnobrodivka. The Ukrainian defenders held the line and repelled seven assaults, while seven combat clashes are ongoing. Enemy losses in this area are being specified.
The enemy forces also launched five airstrikes against Hrodivka and Oleksandropil.
In the Kurakhove axis, the invaders three times attacked the areas of Paraskoviyivka and Kostiantynivka. There is one ongoing hostility in the area. The situation is under control of the Ukrainian forces.
In the Vremiv axis, the adversary, covered by aircraft, fired four guided air bombs at Vuhledar and Vodiane, as well as stormed the Ukrainian positions near Vodiane. The enemy assault continues there.
In the Orikhiv axis, the Russian forces failed in an assault on the defensive line of the Ukrainian army near Mala Tokmachka.
No specific changes were recorded in the other axes.
