URCS provides psychosocial assistance for Cherkasy region residents
The Ukrainian Red Cross Society (URCS) provides psychosocial assistance for internally displaced persons and local residents of Cherkasy region.
"The team of the Cherkasy regional organization of the Ukrainian Red Cross Society has already held more than 630 events on psychosocial support to reduce the level of stress and anxiety, restore and improve the emotional state of people. More than 5,400 persons living in Cherkasy region received psychosocial assistance," the URCS said on Facebook on Wednesday.
The Mental Health and Psychosocial Support activity of the Ukrainian Red Cross Society helps to support people being under stress due to crisis events who cannot cope with it on their own. Specialists provide first psychological aid and basic psychosocial support. Classes with the elements of creativity, recreational activities and active games, structured classes to increase emotional resilience are held for children and adults. In addition, psychoeducational events are held for adults.
