The procurement agencies of the Ministry of Defense have signed contracts for the supply of weapons and logistics equipment worth more than UAH 280 billion from the 2024 state budget, the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine reported.

"Our goal is to guarantee stability and reliability in providing the Armed Forces of Ukraine with modern weapons and logistics equipment, because this is critically important for the successful execution of tasks by military personnel," said Deputy Defense Minister Dmytro Klimenkov.

In addition, he noted that a significant part of these purchases are made from domestic manufacturers.

"Support for Ukrainian defense companies strengthens defense capability and promotes the development of the national economy. We will continue to work to provide the Armed Forces of Ukraine with everything necessary to achieve maximum results in protecting our country and supporting its sovereignty," the deputy minister noted.

In particular, as reported, the Defense Procurement Agency concluded contracts for the supply of weapons for UAH 222.2 billion, while the State Logistics Operator provided for the purchase of logistics equipment for UAH 61.7 billion.

"The purchases include modern weapons systems, ammunition, clothing, personal protective equipment, food products, etc. This will significantly increase the operational effectiveness of our military units, strengthen their combat readiness and adaptability to modern combat conditions," the Defense Ministry emphasized.
