Our units from borderlands sending home war brought by Russia – Zelenskyy
Ukrainian units in the border area are effectively responding to the Russian invasion, sending the war back to where Russia brought this war to Ukraine, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.
"And one more thing, I have just returned from our Sumy region, from those areas in the border area bordering the enemy, and from where our units respond extremely effectively to Russia. It was its intrusion. And sending the war back to where Russia brought this war to our land," the President said at the VII Annual International Veterans Forum "Ukraine Veterans. Unity" on Thursday.
Zelenskyy clarified that the Ukrainian defenders are sending the war to the Russian Federation "home", and this is absolutely fair, as well as effective.
"We all need to understand that in order to expel the occupier from our land, we must create as many problems as possible for the Russian state on its territory. And this is the heroic work of our soldiers. And this heroic work is becoming more accurate, more long-range, and more effective," the head of state stressed.
According to him, the way to end the war on the terms of an independent Ukraine are defensive operations in Donetsk region, Kharkiv region, in the south, liberation from the Russian fleet of the Black Sea, the operation in Kursk region, as well as almost daily strikes on Russian military facilities.
"I am sure that we will overcome this path, no matter how difficult it may be. I thank everyone who, with their strength, their fortitude, their courage, ensured the movement of our state towards its just goals," the Зresident summed up.
