Defense Intelligence blows up ammo depot in Voronezh region of Russia
Servicemen of the Main Intelligence Agency of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine blew up an ammunition depot near the settlement of Ostrogozhsk in Voronezh region of Russia, more than five thousand tonnes of ammunition were stored in it, the Agency reports.
"On August 24, 2024, soldiers of the Main Intelligence Agency of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine successfully struck a field ammunition depot located near the settlement of Ostrogozhsk in the Voronezh region of Russia. The ammunition depot belonged to the Zapad group of troops of the Russian Armed Forces," the Agency said in a message on Telegram on Saturday.
It is reported that the military facility contained artillery and tank shells, small arms ammunition and surface-to-air missiles - more than five thousand tonnes of ammunition in total.
"Happy Independence Day of Ukraine, citizens! Glory to Ukraine!" the intelligence officers concluded their post.
