Zelenskyy, Syrsky discuss specific defensive actions in Pokrovsk and Toretsk
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy has held a meeting on the situation at the front with Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrsky and Chief of the General Staff Anatoliy Barhylevych.
“I had two important meetings. The first was with Commander-in-Chief Syrsky and Chief of General Staff Barhylevych to discuss the situation on the frontlines. Each direction was discussed in detail, with the most attention given to Pokrovsk and Toretsk. We focused on the supply of our brigades and specific defensive action,” Zelenskyy said on the Telegram channel on Thursday.
The President thanked all the units that are fighting with true resilience in their positions.
In addition, the meeting participants separately discussed the operation in Kursk region. "The tasks of the operation are being implemented," Zelenskyy added.
The Head of state also held a second meeting with Syrsky, Head of the SBU Vasyl Maliuk, Head of the Main Intelligence Agency (GUR) of the Ministry of Defense Kyrylo Budanov and Minister for Strategic Industries of Ukraine Oleksandr Kamyshin.
"All the details of the meeting are closed. The only thing worth noting is gratitude to all our developers and manufacturers of long-range weapons. We are building up the Ukrainian long-range force," the President stressed.
