Enemy in Pokrovsk direction throws everything that can move and advance – Syrsky
Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrsky, spent several days working in the brigades leading the defense in Pokrovsk direction, where the most difficult situation currently exists.
”The most intense fighting is taking place on the eastern outskirts of Hrodivka, further along the border of Kamyannyi and Chervonyi Yar, directly in Novohrodivka, below, in the area of the eastern outskirts of Mykhaylivka, which is located in front of Selydove. The fighting is extremely tough. The enemy is throwing into battle everything that can move and advance, trying to break through the defenses of our troops,” Syrsky wrote on Facebook.
According to him, work in the headquarters continues almost around the clock, and “we constantly have to make non-standard decisions to strengthen the defense and destroy the advancing enemy.”
The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine stressed that Ukrainian soldiers show courage and heroism in battles with superior enemy forces. In particular, the soldiers of the 25th separate airborne brigade show extreme resilience, from whose actions the enemy suffers heavy losses.
Syrsky also noted the servicemen of the 68th separate Oleksa Dovbush Jaeger brigade and the 150th separate mechanized brigade, “who leave no chance for the enemies to return alive and unharmed from the battlefield.”
“In such conditions, our main task is to strengthen the defense of our troops in the most difficult sectors of the front, to provide the brigades with sufficient ammunition and other logistical means.
“Actually, my work was devoted to solving these issues. I am proud of the heroism of our soldiers. We are doing everything for our victory,” he said.
