One dead, eleven injured in enemy attacks on Donetsk region in past 24 hours

Russia shelled the front line and settlements in Donetsk region 2,430 times over the past 24 hours, killing one person and injuring eleven others, including a child, the National Police of Ukraine said Friday morning.

"Over the past 24 hours, Russia struck the front line and residential sector 2,430 times. The enemy shelled ten settlements: the cities of Kostiantynivka, Kurakhove, Pokrovsk, Slovyansk, Toretsk, Ukrainsk, Chasiv Yar, Vovchenka, Izmailivka, Tarasovka. Twenty-three civilian facilities were damaged: 15 residential buildings, a maintenance station, cars, a water supply system, a gas pipeline, and a power line," it said on the website.

The Russian occupation forces shelled Kostiantynivka with a drone and artillery. One person was killed and six others were wounded. One private and five apartment buildings, two cars, and communications were damaged.

In Chasiv Yar, two residents were wounded as a result of an artillery attack, including a boy born in 2013.

Two were wounded in Ukrainsk, one in Kurakhove, two private houses were damaged.

In Pokrovsk, an enemy drone damaged a private house and a civilian car. The occupiers fired at Slovyansk from the Smerch MLRS, damaging a maintenance station.

The police and the Security Service of Ukraine have opened criminal proceedings under Article 438 (violation of the laws and customs of war) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

It is also noted that another 2,928 people were evacuated with the help of the police, including 238 children. Since the beginning of the mandatory evacuation, 249,422 people, including 29,344 children, 8,022 people with disabilities, were evacuated.
