Air defenses destroy 44 enemy drones in nine regions of Ukraine overnight
Ukrainian defenders shot down 44 attack drones last night, the Ukrainian Air Force said on the Telegram channel, adding that most of the missiles fired by the enemy failed to reach their targets.
"During the air defense battle, 44 attack drones were destroyed. Three enemy drones returned back to Russia and the location of another four was lost on the territory of Ukraine (no information about casualties and destructions has been reported yet)," it said on the Telegram channel.
As of 9 a.m., there were four drones in the airspace of Ukraine and the combat work was underway.
Last night, the radio engineering forces detected and tracked 69 enemy means of aerial attack.
"The occupiers hit Chernihiv region with two Iskander-M ballistic missiles launched from Kursk region and one Kh-59/69 guided aerial missile from Bryansk region, two Kh-22/32 cruise missiles fired by Tu-22M3 fighter jets (from the airspace above the Black Sea waters in the direction of the Snake Island), 64 Shahed attacks drones (launched from Kursk, Yeysk, Russia, and Cape Chauda, Crimea)," the Air Force said.
Due to active defense, most of the enemy missiles failed to reach their targets.
The air raid was repelled by the defense aviation, rocket forces, mobile fire groups, and electronic warfare units.
The air defenses worked in Kyiv, Kherson, Khmelnytsky, Cherkasy, Sumy, Dnipropetrovsk, Kirovohrad, Zaporizhia, and Poltava regions.
