Shmyhal, French parliamentarians discuss supplying Ukraine with long-range weapons, right to strike Russian territory
Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal discussed with French parliamentarians and the head of the political group "Together for the Republic" in the National Assembly of France Gabriel Attal the provision of Ukraine with long-range weapons and the right to strike on the territory of Russia.
"I thanked for the unwavering support that the French government provided to Ukraine under his leadership. The number one topic is weapons for Ukraine. France was among the first countries to supply us with long-range missiles. We need them more. We also count on permission to strike military targets on the territory of Russia with them," Shmyhal said in the Telegram channel.
It is noted that the parties also discussed the situation in the energy sector and urgent needs in preparation for the difficult heating season.
"In this context, we raised the issue of restoration. I thanked France for the grant of EUR 200 million for the restoration of critical infrastructure. Part of these funds will also be directed to energy. We also expect active development of cooperation between French and Ukrainian businesses and our regions," the Prime Minister said.
