The head of Zaporizhia Regional Military Administration, Ivan Fedorov, and the governor of Pennsylvania (the United States), Josh Shapiro, signed a cooperation agreement between Zaporizhia Regional Administration and the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

The agreement, which was signed in the presence of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, provides for collaboration between government bodies, scientific institutions, civil society organizations, and businesses.

According to a report on the Ukrainian president's website on Monday, the key areas of cooperation include energy, agriculture, digital technology, and defense. The agreement will also aid in the recovery of the Zaporizhia region.

Pennsylvania is home to more than 150,000 Ukrainians and Ukrainian-Americans.

This marks the fifth such agreement between Ukrainian regions and U.S. states. Previously, similar agreements were signed between Kyiv region and the states of Washington and Utah, Zhytomyr region and Indiana, and Chernihiv region and Minnesota.
