Nova Poshta launches courier delivery, parcel pickup in Austria
Nova Poshta, Ukraine’s largest logistics operator, has launched courier delivery in Austria.
"For the first time, Nova Poshta has changed its format, entering the Austrian market exclusively with door-to-door delivery. Deliveries in Vienna are handled by Nova Poshta couriers, while the rest of the country is covered by our partner, GLS," said Nova Post Europe CEO Oleksandr Lysovets, according to a company press release.
Now, customers can order direct deliveries of documents and parcels from Ukraine to any address in Austria, between cities within Austria, and to other European countries. Couriers will pick up pre-paid, packaged shipments for delivery from home addresses. According to the company's website, deliveries from Ukraine to Austria are priced as follows: UAH 700 for up to 1 kg (documents), UAH 800 for up to 2 kg, UAH 1,350 for up to 10 kg, and UAH 2,600 for up to 30 kg.
Deliveries from Austria to Ukraine are priced at EUR 17 for documents, EUR 19 for parcels up to 2 kg, EUR 24 for up to 10 kg, and EUR 42 for larger parcels up to 30 kg. Parcels weighing more than 30 kg or valued above EUR 150 are not accepted for shipment to or from Austria.
Nova Poshta's services in Austria are available for both individuals and businesses. The company also plans to offer same-day courier pickup starting in 2025, as well as the ability to schedule specific time slots for courier visits.
Austria is the 15th country where Nova Poshta has started providing its services.
Earlier reports indicated that Nova Poshta would expand to Austria and the Netherlands by the end of 2024.
