URCS, Children’s Service sign cooperation memo
The Ukrainian Red Cross Society (URCS) and the State Service of Ukraine for Children's Affairs signed a memorandum of cooperation.
"Support for large families and family-type children's homes during the war is one of our priorities. We currently provide various forms of assistance: psychosocial support, mine risk education, provision of food packages and vouchers ... Moreover, we plan to develop areas of support for such families in the future," noted Maksym Dotsenko, Director General of the Ukrainian Red Cross.
According to head of the State Service of Ukraine for Children's, Petro Dobromylsky, the memorandum also provides for the development of family forms of education.
"Together we will take care of the psychosocial well-being of orphans, children deprived of parental care, children who find themselves in difficult life circumstances. And also - develop family forms of education, in particular, family-type children's homes," Dobromylsky noted.
As URCS reported on Facebook, the projects of the memorandum include assistance to orphans and children deprived of parental care and those who find themselves in difficult life circumstances, psychosocial support and socio-psychological work with children and families with children, support for family forms of education, and information about mine danger.
