Energoatom begins producing key nuclear safety component for NPPs
As part of its program to replace equipment and spare parts previously sourced from Russia with domestic production, the subsidiary of Energoatom, Atomenergomash, has started manufacturing components for the localized safety systems of Ukraine's nuclear power plants.
"Specifically, the subsidiary has begun producing the first such component, which will be used at one of Ukraine's nuclear power plants," Energoatom reported on its Telegram channel on Friday.
Once the needs of Ukraine's nuclear facilities for this equipment are met, it will be supplied to VVER-1000 type reactor units at European nuclear power plants.
As Energoatom reminded, since the start of the full-scale invasion, the company has fully replaced Russian-made goods with domestic production or supplies from partner countries.
