Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal met with a delegation of the House of Commons of the Parliament of Canada led by Speaker Greg Fergus in Kyiv on Monday, October 14, the government press service reported.
"Canada is our great friend and partner. This is evident in all the steps that the Canadian government and parliament took during the full-scale invasion, including the first sanctions against Russia and the confiscation of Russian assets," Shmyhal noted.
He informed his partners about the situation at the front, the energy system and the financial sector. During the meeting, Canadian parliamentarians highly praised the progress of reforms in Ukraine.
Shmyhal stressed that macro-financial and macroeconomic stability is one of the elements of the guarantee of containing the enemy and future victory, and thanked Canada for its significant support for Ukraine.
