As a result of a massive strike on the Uman district, a woman died from her wounds, head of the Cherkasy regional military administration Ihor Taburets reported on Saturday.

"Our Cherkasy region was under enemy fire since the night. Our defenders repelled most of the attacks. According to preliminary information, in total, 41 enemy UAVs and two missiles were destroyed by air defense and electronic warfare countermeasures. However, there were several hits, as well as consequences due to falling debris," the regional chief wrote on Telegram.

"As a result of a massive strike on the Uman district, a woman born in 1961 died from her wounds. She was taken to a medical facility in extremely serious condition. Unfortunately, the doctors were already powerless," Taburets noted.

According to him, a critical infrastructure facility was attacked in Cherkasy region. The consequences are being clarified. In addition, the Shahed drone hit the warehouse of a private enterprise. The fire has already been extinguished. One person was injured. He refused hospitalization.

In the private sector of the regional center, UAV debris damaged the windows of a residential building and the building of the Youth Sports School.
